Mine are WAY rusted, and I'm not sure if I should get manifolds off the net (cheap), or get something better (factory, but $$$).

Any help/advice on a replacement is MUCH appreciated. I'm NOT looking to use headers.

Thanks - Jim

Ford offered a better stud. I'm not sure if they are still available. The ones I bought are copper plated stainless steel. I'll see if I can find the part #, if anyone is interested.

If anyone cares....

http://www.partstrain.com/products/E...50_PICKUP.html

I bought these replacement exhaust manifolds. They are WAY CHEAP in price, but the quality is perfectly fine. Local parts stores wanted $260-275 for a set. I got both for my 4.6 for $88.75 delivered .

I just did the manifolds on my 5.4. I have a complete set minus one factory Ford exhaust manifold stud set still at home. I bought them a couple months before I did the job. Between then and when I did it my dad had stopped by and saw the bag of studs on the work bench and put them in a paper bag and set them off to the side of the garage without telling me. I went to do the job and never found the studs and nuts. I bought another new set then later found the original ones. I paid around $80.00 for them if I remember right. If someone can use then I'll sell them for $25.00.
I put manifolds on from the internet for $46.00 each. They fit perfectly and have had no problems. The only difference I noticed was that the outside burrs weren't machined cleanly like the factory ones.

www.autopartswarehouse.com. $47.00 each. I bought from them with no problems. The box for my 5.4 expy manifolds said econoline van on them but a call to the Ford dealer showed them to have the same part number. They were correct. They said China on them.
