I See All Of These Threads On 0-60 Times. And How it is stupid, because they are trucks. And Trucks aren't really meant for Racing.

Well I see All of These New 5.4 3V 300HP F-150's. Saying they hit 60 In Around 7-10 Seconds. Stock Or Slightly Modified.

I've always been with Chevy Up Until My last truck gave me too many problems. And Nickel Dimed Me to Death. Now By Getting a Ford, I was hoping to Avoid all the fuss.

I bought my 2000 F-150 The way it was. Already Modified. With a 5.4 260HP Engine.

Now the thing is, I know the old F-150's are lighter than the new one's. But also aren't pushing out as much torque and HP.

My Truck will do 60 Pretty Damn Quick to me ( About 6 Seconds if not slightly more ) And It can beat a lot of the cars on the road. And Also Cruises Nicely On the Interstate. And always seems like it has more RPM's If I need them.

But now I see all of these posts saying Chevy's are So much faster and what-not.

Do you think there is some mod chip in my truck, and more than just A True-Dual Cat Back system and an Air Intake?

In no way shape or Form do I think My Truck is slow, But if other trucks can beat me... so what.

I still have a Ford.

 

If they just put a chip in your computer, then you can look up under the dash and see the computer. Mine was up kind of behind the passenger kick plate up on the firewall.

A mid 6 second 0-60 should be a mid to high 14 second 1/4 run though. Not close to what these trucks do stock.

 

the day i quit enjoying a nice little 0- 60 run or the thrill of pulling ahead of the next guy, is the day I die and losing never feels good. human nature, testosterone, immaturity..take your pick.

 

Don't get me wrong, I love to win.

But I was just saying, If my truck is close to stock. And It does 60 in around 6 seconds.

I don't think that's slow... And when I see all of these other posts on how slow ford trucks are. I got confused.

I guess Mine's just not stock!
