You get added performance just because it came from wal-mart too!

Should have seen if they had any flame stickers for your truck too.

...so you blocked off your PCV system? Now you are allowing unmetered air to circulate? Not good...right?

Explain to us exactly what performance aspect you are gaining here. Seems to me like you wasted ten bucks.... and truly made your engine bay look like it was worked on south of the border

the PCV valve will let oil seep into ur intake causing poor combustion injectors to get clogged umm intake ge gunked up gunks up backs of valves... so by eliminating blow by oil ur fuel economy and performance will goes up... mostly just keeps ur intake system clean.

Just rebuilt my motor, and at 107,000 I had very little build up. I'll just keep cleaning mine with sea foam every so often and keep my stock PCV....I think the Ford engineers had it there for a purpose... I mean they could have saved money on production and engineering of the vaccum hoses to the PCV by just putting on a $10 Waly-World product. Sorry to knock your stuff, but I just believe you could have put ten bucks towards electric fans and got more bang for your buck. And if you change your PCV regularly you shouldn't have any oil seepage into your combustion area.

its there for emissions to burn the emissions gases that build up in the crank case. remove it in some states u wont pass emmissions laws. and i have 126,000 on my engine and compression is still stock spec. and it has original PCV valve in it... all pro mod dragsters use breathers and most all boosted engines use them also to keep oil from being sucked into the intake system and causing power loss and gunk up

Most of the stuff engineers have to do is for emissions though like already stated. Reason why we have EGR on the vehicle. Same reason some vehicles will pump fresh air into the exhaust stream. It doesn't do anything but make emissions look better.

One thing I do hate is why doesn't Ford put electric fans on these trucks in the first place... The mustangs get them!!! They also helped the gas mileage in the city out on my old truck.

Thanks! Hard to see a truck go away that I had put so much work, money and time into. Here's a pic from the accident: http://i15.photobucket.com/albums/a3...truckfront.jpg

But, thankfully I was able to find exactly the truck I was looking for. Had to drive two cities away to pick her up
