Bad missfire.
Bad missfire.
ive been experiencing a horrible missfire the last couple days ive driven this truck to town and back. its so bad its shaking the whole truck like ive got a wheel bent to hell. so today im replacing spark plugs and wires, my question is about those coil packs or whatever they are actually named. how do i test them to make sure they are fine too?
is there anything else that a person with limited knowledge and tools could test? like injectors? although none of those are wet around the outside like my ranger was when one of its went out.
trying to get a run down of things to check / replace.
hmm i should mention it started doing it out of the blue when i started it up to go home. then it went away, came back, then it would go away and come back within seconds driving down the highway. so its kind of confusing me.

well the big problem is fixed, one wire was bad on the crimped on end. the other was broke somewhat in the middle... so now it runs good again, only thing is i see a bit of oil around the plugs and some water by the thermostat... damnit i just replaced that thermostat too...
so the injectors are easy? cool. i think ill have to pull one out and inspect it, the plug looked a little burnt.
