f150 cooling problem?..

f150 cooling problem?..

I have a 1996 f150 with 4.9 ..the idiot temp gauge is reading in the normal range but hotter that what it used to run..I have replaced thermostat had fan clutch checked out . is it possible with the sensor?. Any advise? thanks

Does not sound like a major problem. Have you check your fluid level for a while?

Coolant level is fine.

Only other things I can think of, is maybe it needs a flush. Had that done for a while? Or maybe a good cleaning in between the radiator and condensor is in order. Checked that out lately?

about 6 months bk I put on a 2 row radiator and flushed system

The coolant sensor works off of resistance. It could be failing or there could be a electrical problem coming about.
