1# Spk plug wire jumps off dist cap
Hey,
I have a 2002 F150 V6. I have had it about 6 months and it looks like all factory parts. The 1# spark plug wire jumps off the distributor. When I examined the wire it had bad green corrosion. Here are myquestions. I'll be grateful for the help!!
Why is it doing this?
What kind of plugs and wires do you recommend for replacement?
Should I get a new distributor cap while I am at it?
Or just clean the clean corrosion from that terminal?

The green corsion is from the spark jumping the gap and moisture getting in the area.
Does it 'snap down' on the cap tower like the rest? If it does then it should stay in place, if not the metal cable end is deformed inside the boot.
