I think it's about time to clean my IAC, but how do I clean it? I hear I can clean it without having to take it completely off? What would be the best thing to clean it with?

Thanks

take it off use the regular B12 carb and throttle body cleaner and a old tooth brush same procedure as when u clean the throttle body just clean it
and let it air dry then put it back on.. thats the most effective procedure

Removing it is the most effective way to get it clean.

How much should the plunger move back & forth in the unit? I cleaned mine today and it was a little dirty but it seemed like the plunger would only move about 1/8 of an inch back & forth. Is this normal or is it clogged?
