Help with a serious problem....

First time to the forums, I have heard this is the place to go for good answers. So thank you all in advance for you time.

Today I woke up, started the truck and i heard a LOUD clanking sound that increased as the RPM's did, When I put it in reverse to back it out, the sound got louder and louder and white/blue smoke was pouring out of the exhaust, looking underneath the truck I have oil covering my tranny, maybe from there or higher up. The truck feels like it is about to explode. Any ideas???? There is a puddle of oil sludge from underneath the car.

Yeah. 'Clanking' from an engine is a bad bad sign.

If it increases with RPM, doesnt go away at all, and you have oil pouring out all over, I would *guess* that you most likely have a smoked rod or main bearing due to oil starvation.
