Truck won't start

I have a 2000 F150 4.2 V6. The wife just telephoned me at work and advised that when she got in the truck this morning to drive it to work the "Theft" light was blinking. When she tried to start the truck, nothing happened. What should I look for when I get home and start to trouble shoot? Is this something that could happen if the battery was dead?

BLown fuse in the BJB (battery Junction Box). Fuse #18 15amp. If that fuse in not blown try the other key. Remove any gasoline company pass keys as they can casue the no start too.

Try the second key, if the key has the theft chip in it and it went out the truck should start with the second key.
my kid ran into this problem with his truck, but did not have the other key
(bought used) had to have all the locks and the ignition change out at 235 dollars . GOOD LUCK
