egr excessive flow

I have a 2001 F150 with a 4.6. This code is standing in the way of selling my truck.Would this be a defective DPFE, and how would one test this? Backyard test please. And maybe a pic of its location.

P0402 is most often caused by a faulty DPFE sensor.

Most of the time you can't relibably test it. The computer has already tested it for you and provided the code that relates to it and the system fault.

Dpfe

The Dealership here carries something like 80 of them on the shelf. And he's ordering them regularly.

I've bought two for my two trucks, and one for a friend. 'Course, I went through NAPA and saved about $15 per.

All three had P0402 codes.
