Getting ready to take my rear gas tank down so I can flush trash/water from it. I assume I basically take off the straps and disconnect at the filler neck and it should come down. Will the mechanism that holds the hoses and pump come off easily? Will it go back on easily? Looks like I will be doing this by myself with no assistance . any suggestions?

If I need to, can I drive the truck with out the rear tank if I make sure the gas line and connections are secure?

I would take the bed off before I jumped at taking the tank down. I know that adds a whole other set of circumstances but I have found in the past that if I could muster the help to do it that way it is much easier.
