Hey guys this is my first time back since my FLEX-A-LITE 270 install, really appreciate all of the help, and I really like the setup. Now to new business, is there any way to adjust the idle on the 5.4s, I have a 2001 4x4 supercrew with the 5.4 lt engine and would like to raise the idle from 6000 to 8000 rpms. Appreciate any help. THANKS.

 

tpope, I am sure that you ment to type 600-800 rpm, because all kindz of stuff would wiggle off that puppy at 6000-8000 rpm idle...hee hee

I'm not aware of any way to change the idle. As far as I know, it is controlled by the PCM with input from several sources and output to more. What is the reason behind doing it?
