Ok I bought this 89 F150 4x4 for 500 and I have been slowly restoring it to drivable condition. Well my issue seems to be this: it has sat so long and gotten so rusted that the 4x4 linkage will not shift into low range. I need help on how to remove this and if replacing it is the thing I should do. I think I may be able to clean it up. I just cannot find the parts anywhere. www.rockauto.com has parts pretty cheap i dont really know how else to help you, if it needs new linkage replace it and go offroading
