Best Code Reader

Can anyone suggest a code reader for getting trouble codes for my 01 f-150 supercrew xlt 4x4 5.L vehicle.

get a MicroTuner. they read codes AND give better performance, so you have double functionality! works as a great excuse for the wife...

Better yet, get an X2 when they become available.

Even *better* performance than a Microtuner, reads/clears codes, provides custom tuning, and has highspeed datalogging functionality.

The cheapest one is the one they use at Autozone. It's free.

autozone (baltimore) uses the same tester I have, the Sunpro CP??? forgot the model# offhand. does a good job on my f150 and windstar

What about a scanner that reads engine pcm AND transmission codes?
