i have a 98 f150 4.6lt 109k miles just got it out of the shop for
head gaskets, waterpump, knock sensor, heads/exhaust manifold surfaced. about 20 items replaced on it. they took the cab off to do all this. for some reason the day i drove it home that nite the stearing got stiff on me and then 2 days later at nite the stearing did it again but worse. i took the truck back to the shop to see if they did anything to it at all to cause that. they said all they did is disasemble the stearing thing from the box. one bolt only. and they drove it for 2 days and the truck obvousley didnt stiff'n up on them.
could it be that is sat in the shop for 3 weeks? or what? help!
i have the truck back never stiff'n on me yet.
