5.4 Is A Dog!!!
GEO, welcome to the boards. First, please remember that this is an online forum and all caps is considered yelling, so if you could let down the caps lock when you post, I'm sure everyone would appreciate it.
As for your lack of wheel spinnage, remember that lots of factors play into that, most notably gear ratio and tire size, which are different depending on your truck's buildout. Also there's loading. If your truck's geared low (3.55 or lower), has tall tires (more than 30"-31" with otherwise stock specs) or is loaded down, it may be difficult to get your rears to spin, especially if you do have the limited slip rear end (which I believe all FX4s do). Also, make sure you're not in 4x4 mode. The whole point of that is to avoid tire slipping.
Anyway, I'd find it hard to imagine that any unloaded truck with a 5.4L engine would not get slippage on a wet road. If everything else is optimal, there may be something wrong, but I'd look for other proof first.

That's funny. I rolled my tires today and I drive a 4.6 powered, 3.55 geared, Screw, with a tonneau cover. I think your 5.4 is broken, please send it to me immediately for inspection. I'll return it, postage paid when my inspection is complete.

If what your interested in is spinning the tires maybe you should've got a HEMI!
If you had become an informed consumer before you "bought" your F150, you would know that it's a drive by wire. That means that when you jam on the gas you are sending a request to the computer which will evaluate your request and then allow the engine to respond. There isn't a direct link from the pedal to the throttle body. Ford is going to program the powertrain control modual in a way that will be satisfactory to "most" drivers. I would guess that "most" drivers aren't all that interested in spinning the tires. I would also guess that thoes who are interested in spinning the tires are aware of what the aftermarket can do to help achieve that goal.
If you could spin the tires, would you then complain that the 5.4 is a gas hog?
Incidently, my 4.6 F150 is not a dog and can spin the tires. Even when it's not raining.

Remember, if your tires are spinning, you ain't going anywhere fast!! I prefer my truck to hook up and go rather than sit there spinning my tires.

And you're hauling around the heaviest configuration F150 you can get, curbing somewhere north of 5000 lbs. I didn't know the ability to break the rear tires loose was a high priority.
i got an 04 with a 5.4 and its true on a dry day without any dirt it wont spin but when its when they catn get traction maybe urs is broke serioulsy, anyways these trucks aint for racing

I have no prob spinning my tires, in fact, that's my problem, to much tire spin. My 97 5.4 would spin with no prob also. Better contact Mike Troyer about this problem.
