Torque Alternator Pulley

I'm havin' so much fun I could crap. Replaced the brushes and voltage regulator to cure battery light at 2200rpm. Fix lasted about a day and a half because I didn't examine the alternator well enough to know it was beyond just brushes. So I get a new NAPA alternator. Only problem is it doesn't come with a pulley - I have to swap them. No prob, says the NAPA guy. Just leave it in the car and loosen it with an impact wrench while the belt is still attached. Nice try. Took forever to get the fan shroud off to get my impact wrench in there. No dice. Finally pulled the alternator and was able to get the pulley off using the impact wrench, a strap-type oil filter wrench, and plenty of PB Blaster. Not being too bright, I somehow thought I could tighten the pulley with it in the car, even though that didn't work for loosening it. Now it's dark ehough that I'm going to wait until tomorrow to pull it again and tighten it using the strap wrench and my torque wrench. I don't, however, know the proper torque for this bolt. Anyone?

You're supposed to torque those things?

I agree with zap, run it down with your impact until it bottoms out, bump it one or two more times and let it ride. That's how I've always done them.

Well take it from the pulley expert here lately who (sense I reckon im an idiot) replaced every pulley then fixed the fan clutch, which was the problem, last just tighten them down and thatll do Ive removed and replaced and replaced and removed and now I have no problems so batten em down and you should be fine.
