Gutless in Colorado
I just drove from Spokane, WA to Colorado Springs, CO the other day. I realize the altitude here is 4000' higher than Spokane, so I wasn't shocked when the truck didn't feel as strong here. Was pretty impressed that I averaged 19.5 mpg while hauling my motorcycle and a bunch of other stuff in the back. Anyway...
Question: Would disconnecting the battery to enable to computer to "learn" this higher elevation quicker help or should I go to a local Ford garage and have them reflash the computer? If they reflash the computer here, will I need to have it done again when I return back to WA in a month?
Thanks.

I ran into this same thing, and nothing really helped it. I tried resets, the whole nine yards. My truck is from the TX coast, and I was in Albuquerque, about the same difference if not more. Needless to say I bought a chip while I was there.,,,,98
