Question Got an engine failure when accelerate

Hello evryone in the forum!!!
Got his problem right now.

1. Engine started normally
2. As soonI press the gas pedal, its start to make a little intermitent failure. (but moving).
3. At high speed, no intermitent failure is noticed.
4. At idle (normal cruise) it seems that the electrical power cut off and on rapidly (about .5 seconds) just a very quick intermitent failure.
5. When running I switch the trans. to neutral and press the accel, and no failure, its accelerate with power!!! but as soon I change to drive shift and the engine started to move the truck the intermitent failure appears again.

This failure is more noticeable when the engine is cold. As soon the engine is running for long period, the failure decrease

I'm thinking about the plugs, but how I replace them?
I was looking for them, but is my first time working with this V-8 triton engine.

The truck has 125 K miles. The only think I did to this engine was to replace the battery and the alternator. Geee!!! this truck are good. But now I need to fix this problem.

Any help will be appreciate

It sounds like a miss. Has your check engine light come on?

If you have not changed your spark plugs yet in the 125k of the trucks life, you need to do it anyway, so I would start there.

failure

Yes, the check engine light was on.

How do I replace plugs?
I never touch it before, on this type of engine.

Is there anywhere you can go to get the codes read? Here in the states, parts stores liek AutoZone and O'reilly's will scan codes for you for free. You might have to go to a dealership...

The plugs on the 5.4L engine are definitely not easy to replace as far as spark plugs go. They are inside the head, and you have to remove the coil packs from each plug before you can access that plug.

Do a search, theres plenty of threads on it.
This site has 2 small videos that show you how:
