2007 f150 diesel.....sure thing
Dont know if you guyz know this yet but there is going to be a 4.5 diesel in the f-150 series comming up. Right now Ford has the put the International 6.0 diesel in the Superdutys and they are going to be putting the same engine, except with 2 cylinders cut off, into the f150. Our shop forman has already gone to the classes on the new 4.6 turbo diesel but doesnt know exactly when the launch date is for the motor.
We can all hope and pray to god that the bugs: the 03s-(wire chaffing), 04s-(EGR System faults, VGT sticking, EBP sensor Faults) and the 05s-(Injector snap ring breaking)..... Do not extend into the F150s when they come out.
Just thought id let you guyz know.

IF it's installed, thats the engine. A v6 powerstroke. I'm sure it will be a great engine since Ford jumped all over international because of the early 6.0L PS problems.

Not entirely true Frank. Yes, Ford buys the engine from International but they did change the injectors and the PCM.
You don't hear of the 6.0's in the International trucks having the problems the Ford spec units did.

I often wonder about all the problems with the 2003+ Powerstrokes. It is my understanding that Ford replaced the International injectors with some made by Catepillar and there were PCM changes as well. Sure was a disaster for those buying early-on.
Ford can't afford to keep making these mistakes. Hopefully they'll get the F-150 diesel engine right before it hits the market. That would be a truck I would be interested in as well with the new, cleaner, better-running diesel to debut about the same time.
