89 4.9L problems

i replaced my head gasket, and when i tried to start it back up, the thing is running crazily. the manifolds were glowing red when i started it and the thing got hot so fast. could misplaced vacuum lines cause this? because i dont know if i put them back in the right spots or if the connections are right, does anyone have a nice vacuum diagram for an 89 4.9L? the diagram on the airbox isnt really clear. thanks.

If the manifolds are getting hot real fast, you are running very lean. Check for any large vacuum leaks, like the intake to cylinder head gasket. Check fuel pressure. Yours needs to be around 60 psi. Check plugs and wires for proper routing. The firing order is 1-5-3-6-2-4. If you need more info, just ask.
