Question Replacing O2 sensors..?

I installed a Troyer Stage 1.5 kit and he recomends changing the pre-cat O2 sensors. I have never changed them before and have a a couple of questions.

How hard are they to change?

Any Hints or recomendations?

Thanks......

you can read all of the BS on this site or do it the easy way.

45 minutes both sides including putting the tools a way.

1. jack it up and remove booth wheels

2. remove the plastic inner fenders (6 screws aqnd 2 plastic push in fasteners)

3. disconnect the electrical connectors (engine cold)

4. remove sensors using a 22mm box end

5. reassemble

I changed mine without removing wheels or plastic liners. Jack it up, crawl under and done in 20 minutes.

so my understanding is there are TWO o2 sensors upfront for a 97 4.6?

Approximately they're by the exhaust manifolds?

My my, we have an expert amongst us. All bow before him.

Seriously xr4, it's great that you had something to offer, but the only "BS" I see on this site seems to come mainly from newbie Mr. F know-it-all (not) types. Not saying that describes you, but you definitely could've worded your sentence less offensively.

I can't think of one site concerning any subject that has addressed and fixed so many problems, and helped so many thousand people, time and time again. Me included. I return the favor whenever I can.

Thanks.
