for about two years my otherwise dependable 97 F150 would periodically not start. this only occurred when the engine was fully warmed up and shut off for a short period. the truck would usually restart after about 20 minutes or disconnecting a battery cable and reconnecting.

replaced the usual fuel pump relay, cam and crank sensors. carried my scan tool with me and could never get a code.

finally did the no start for good. fuel pump went south
