87 F150 EFI IL6 no spark

Truck stalled while plowing. In the past it was hard to start a couple of times after turning it off. It's getting fuel. Replaced plugs, wires, dist. cap, rotor and coil, but still no spark. Can hear the fuel pump when the key is turned and it cranks over no problem. Also replaced fuel filter, in line fuel pump and fuel sending unit inside front tank. Rear tank has been removed. Anyone with any ideas to check next?

Replace the ignition module on the side of the distributor. It is held on by two hex head screws. You will need a special socket type tool to remove and replace this.

Thumbs up

That did it!!!!! Thanks for the information. Just to close the loop on this subject: Ignition module at Autozone costs $30.99 and while you're there, pick up a 5.5mm, 1/4" drive, deep socket to get to the hex heads bolts (2 of them) holding the unit onto the distributor.

check and see if your coilpack is getting 12v with a testlight or a voltmeter. im not sure what color the wire is, but ground one end of the tool that you use, and poke the other into the back of connector while the key is in the ON position. if you get no juice, check fuses, and for any loose wiring connections.

Goodluck.
