Side Effects

Are there any significant side effects to getting ride of your governor? Thinkin of doin it but don't want to do any harm to my engine and what not. thanks

do you mean your top speed limitor, or your engine rev limitor. Both are on for a reason, if you come close or exceed them, you open yourself for the possability of more problems.

Most of the aftermarket chips will remove (or raise substantially) your top speed limiter.

For the daily driver, and occaisional gunner, there isn't that big of a concern.

Check the speed rating of your tires.

I mean my top speed limiter. My friend removed his on his truck and it looked like it worked pretty good but i'm just concernec
