Changing Fuel Filter

I just filled up...Should i wait till my gas is at a certian level to change my fuel filter? does it matter? is there any tricks to loose as little gas as possible?

it doesnt matter at all when you do it. i unhooked the inertia switch (passanger kick panel) and lost a couple onces if that.
