I have a 98 4.6 2x4 with the short bed not special order but it is a 98 XLT with a 97 sport paint scheme except for the sport written on the side. I guess they needed to get rid of the paint.

My 2000 F-150 was a RC,LB,5.4 from a lot. I found it hard to find the 5.4 in a RC with any bed. I found mine at a rural dealership frequented by ranchers. It also had LS and Class III. When I traded it, they made it the dealership delivery vehicle.

Mine is a 99 short bed 5.4 flareside XLT which is really rare. Most are sports. I bought it used but found out it was a special order.
When I got my tie rod notice from Ford it was classified as a lightning. Now I want to know where the heck is my SC?

Sled...

Certainly, but.......they are hard to come by. I just bought a 2005 RC,SB stylesideXLT. I got it to replace a 2002 SilveradoSE RC,SB w/5.3 which was stolen. Both were difficult to come by. In the case of the F150, the dealer had to go 600 miles to Oklahoma City to get the vehicle from another dealer. I live in Houston and they could not find one anywhere in Texas. As someone mentioned, they seem to be mostly around farming areas. Same for the Chevy but it was found in an agricultural part of Texas. Guess the manufacturers are not real anxious to build them what with Govt. milage limits, etc. The F150 has the 3.73 limited slip so suppose they anticipated some special usage. Since they are hard to come by new, I guess this would carry over to used. Just my $.02. Hope it help.

1999 Ford F150 Lariat Normal Cab 5.4L
Raoul, what cab is it if it's not a "normal" cab?

By the way, that's a nice pic of your truck.

abnormal?

and that's a subtle way to say I'm a loser who doesn't even own a digital camera and stole a picture that you own from your Gallery that you took with your camera of my truck.

If you turn me in to Steve, I'll find the worst picture on the whole internet of 'plumber's crack' and put it in my gallery with the caption,
'I met wittom'

I'm a skinny b@stard. My crack isn't on display for anyone. Well, my girl might get a private show.

Bryan, I would head down there more often but if I park my truck next to yours, mine looks like crap. It's also hard to get the time with work being busy and my girl "making" me do a bunch of stuff. My buddy (the one that went on the Mustang cruise) is dead set on getting a Mustang in the next month or so. I think that he can benefit a lot fron the folks in LMMC-CT. Might see you a few time this year.
