Kits are usually expensive...the blowers alone can be over $2000.
If you can get one used, and in good shape, that would be the best bet. You could buy the used kit and get it rebuilt (if necessary) for cheaper.

Owners commonly spend over $1,000 on typical bolt-ons with minimal results. Superchargers are a very effective way to substantially increase power, especially if you invest the $1,000 in a kit initially.

Chip = $300 or so
Intake = $250
Pullies = $150 (?) or so
That's around $700 right there. This money goes out the window if you get a blower because none of it will work with the blower.
I really wish I had just gone iwth a blower in the first place. Woulda saved money in the long run.
Plus, you're never saying "Gee I think it feels faster" like other mods. Because your truck is completely transformed.
That's my opinion at any rate.
