mustang 5.0 H/O Motor

Question mustang 5.0 H/O Motor

I have a 1994 f150 and the stock 5.0 motor is shot.I have a 1989 mustang 5.0 H/O motor I like to drop in the truck.Will the stock computer work with the H/O motor or do i you to change the intake to make it work or will it work at all?

It should be mostly a direct bolt in. You will probably just have to change the upper intake manifold because the throttle cable, wiring, etc. will be easiest to use the truck upper. You will need to change the exhaust manifolds, and any accessories/brackets. I don't think there will be a problem with the computer - I believe the horse power is the same even. Good luck

The 5.0HO has a 351 firing order (1-3-7-2-6-5-4-8). the early year 5.0, not the HO had a 302 order (1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8).I'm not sure which one you have in a 94. If you need to change the order you can simply move the injector harness around.
