divewithtom,
Some of those stop leak additives will clog the radiator if there is glycol in the system. Requires system flush before using (as always, when all else fails, read the instructions on the can).

Any way to braze the leak?

If I remember right it is his head gasket...
Yes Bars Leak is fairly detectable as soon as they open the radiator cap. Pepper floats around and could be mistken for dirt I have not used egg whites so have no idea how they work (if at all) Just flip the $20 and spend a day to fix it so you will beable to sleep with yourself at night.

Actually that was one I had metioned to him in the other thread that I had seen on I think OverHaulin' but it may have been Rides or American Hot Rod or somewhere a week or two ago. I had never heard of it either but they said it is already boiling temp but since it's under pressure it stays lguid until it hits the air as it's being pushed out of the leak then it turns hard and seals it. I personaly have not tried it so I don't for how long it will hold or anything.

i've heard of the "remedy" also...but what happens as soon as egg whites...or the whole egg altogether hits 190 degree water? INSTANT hardning...say goodbye to whats left of the radiator tubes that actually work....if anything egg remedies would have to be added to a stone cold radiator just like the rest of the "fix it's"...zap!

Good point
I probabley wouldn't have done that. I would have taken the cap off warmed it up and then boiled my egg... LOL

Before I get too far off-track, I've found nuking the egg in a bowl of water for 3 minutes, after nuking the water 4 minutes, renders a most excellent poached egg! I don't much care for the sweet taste of coolant!! LOL!!

Sorry, divewithtom - if the head gasket is the problem as PSSMAG says, I agree with his comment: spend the time and money to repair the head gasket. You WILL feel better about it later.

I'm sure you'll like the F250; PSD?
