po135 with new sensor...

I had a check engine light pop on today, PO 135, bank 1 sens 1 o2 sensor, well, assuming I replace the right one, (left forward most) the light still comes on, but only on start ups, if you clear it after driving a bit, it will stay out for the drive cycle. Is there a fuse somewhere that controls this, or something else I should look for? This is all due to a trans replacement, I hit the sensor on the shield under the truck, and it broke a white wire. All was fine till the trans swap. So, i figured the only reason it was on was due to the wire breaking, and replaced it. Now, since it still is, I wonder if it didnt get a fuse or something to the heater.

Well, your in the right church but the wrong pugh.
The code is telling you it's "heater" circuit is in trouble.
You have a wire open to the sensor intenal heater.
Use voltmeter to test or pull on the wires good to see if there is an internal break in the insulation.
There needs to be 12 volts present at all times the ignition switch is in the run position.
This is an easy one.
Clearing the the CEL lamp will only bring it back because during the driveing cycle, the PCM tests and finds it still open and re-lights the CEL lamp.
Sayze, yep i'm still a bit sick. Good luck.
