No it starts back up normally. Not like a loss of battery power. I have been searching this forum and other for a while trying to find a solution to this problem. Does a crankshaft position sensor problem seem like a potential source?

A problem sensor will usually set a code. On a WAG move the wire harness away from the accumulator. If something was cutting power to the PCM it would casue the gages to sweep after a restart. So it can not be that. Attach a probe to the middle wire of the TPS and check the voltage of the probe to ground. It should varry in a liniar motion between about .98v to 4.8v. If there is a break in the TPS wiring it will show in this test.
