hesitation

ok guy's
When I step on the gas, There is a hesitation. I am running a stock 4.6 in a 2005 stx supercab.
When I am at idle, Then I step on it it takes a gasp for breath before it does anything. Would a cold air intake fix this, or is it an f-150 thing? or is it a performance chip thing? Once it does kick in it is fine and the power is there.

Hold on, it is a problem your dealer should be working on.
You are the proud owner of electronic throttle control.
No more cable.
Don't try aftermarket fixes with a truck under warrenty. It's foolish.

I have driven a couple 150's and they had the same hesitation. Not major just noticable to me.
