the fuel pump is not HOLDing it's line pressure after being turned off....and in the 2-3 seconds that your are on the starter it cannot re-prime the system.
Holding the gas pedal to the floor....during cranking will result in a fuel cutoff mode...(.to crank a flooded engine and to troubleshoot ignition issues..)
