hey everyone i have no prolems with the truck just a little curious about a misleading hose. Connecting to the Tb elbow there is a rubber hose that reas (gas/Fuel) wat is it? obviously its not what the lable suggests it because the fuel goes to the rail NOT the elbow! anyone know what its for?

 

My guess woukld be the Vacuum line to the brakebooster. Any pics?

That sounds like it to me as well.

 

I'd guess it is the EVP line (Evap Fuel Vapor) from the valve above the brake booster, comes from canister behind fuel tank.

 

the last one might be it.. its not the brake booster cuz i do seafoam and know where that is...

 

...that is the hose I used when I put seafoam in my truck.

Follow the hose, you'll see that the hose from the brake booster goes to the back of the throttle body elbow, and on mine it has the "gas/fuel" writing on it.

 

I don't know if this is the same hose we are talking about, but the arrow points to the culprit that is not attached directly to the brake booster but goes to the back of the TB. 3/8" vacuum hose. Thanks for the help.

oh ok ya that was the hose im sure ( i have 5.4 slightly dif engine bay) but im sure it was that... thanks for all the help guys!
