I ported and polished my t-body when I installed my new larger t-body. I noticed a little gizmo on the driver side of the elbow that bolts into the elbow with 2 screws. well, a previous owner must have monkeyed with it because the head of one of the screw has been snapped clean off. So this little gizmo is not as tight as it should be. I did have to remove to get elbow off truck and do the porting and polishing but I just put it back on the same way it was...with one screw and the screw shaft of the other screw keeping it from rotating on the good screw. hoe thats not cunfusing.
Does anyone know what this little thing does? I am pretty sure it had a hose attached to it. maybe some kind of vacuum gizmo. I did this back in the summer so I dont remember exactly and my truck is kinda buried under snow right now so I can't take any pictures and we are expecting BIG snow in a day or so.
Also I remember reading a while back someone on this board I think ports and polishes the elbows and sells them on ebay. Mine didnt come out as well as I would like so I would like to buy one already done. I also need to get new hardware to remount the gizmo but I do not know what it is called to ask the dealer. If anyone has an exploded diagram of the intake that is what I need to identify it.
And I am very intested in buying the pre ported and polished elbow if anyone knows someone that does it good and sells them.
The truck is a 97 F150 with the 4.6.

idle air control valve its essential that its sealed or it wont read correctly.
