My 98' 4.6L remeo is throwing a code for cylinder head temp sensor. I can't seem to find it where people tell me to look. Can anyone help me?

HI!... The cylinder head temp sender is in the lower left corner of the pic. It's coming out of the side of the driver's side head. It has a black plug.

Looks like you have to remove the intake manifold. Is that right?

Sorry, but I'm new to the modular engine/intake thing. I cut my teeth on the 289 and 302.

I believe you can change the sensor by just removing the alternater. It looks as though it would be servicable from that angle.
acording to the 2001 ford service manual remove air filter and intake housing, remove drive belt remove alt. un plug intake tuning conector and remove cylender head temp conector then remove sending unit.
