But don't over oil it either. I had the seal at the base fail. K & N stood up and replaced it under warranty. Over oiling will cause the lean condition at WOT. I let a dealer replace O2 sensors because of this, computer was reading a lean condition. Follow the K & N instuctions, save your cylinders.
