2001-2003 F-150 Recalls?

Hey, Got my oil changed at 'the dealership with a heart' on thursday...Checked the oil at work on Tuesday, and saw that it was about half empty. Checked transmission fluid, It was BELOW THE ADD LINE! Went into the pit, and looked for a loose filter/plug, and Found the following;

NO oil leaks ( so Where did it go!?!)
Transmission leak At cooler line
Rear differential Like mud

All this with only 38,000 Km...Our oil changes come with a free inspection and tire rotation (well not free, we prepaid for it). The thing I don't get is how they 'missed' that transmission leak! I work at a Chrysler dealership, and we're told not to tell the customer about any kind of leaks if the car's under warranty. Ridiculous, Eh? Kinda sucks when it happens to you. Sooooo,
I bring it to the attention of my advisor, and he says there is going to be a recall on the 4.6/5.4 motor because they aren't BURNING oil...But....'Using' It? Anyone know of anyhting behind the scenes here?
