I can't believe it! And in a Vette no less!! LOLLL! I too have seen hundreds of older Ford rods with Chevy motors, but never a Ford in a Chevy. I hope whomever buys this car takes it to Burger King/Checkers/McD's or wherever the cars gather on Friday nights, and pops the hood proudly. I hope this isn't answered by a 454 in a Cobra. My heart would give out.

I guess that's one way to do it. 460s are incredibly heavy and conversions can cause engineering headaches. With today's availability of cost-effective high output Chevy parts, he could have had a better balanced vehicle with tons of HP for a low price using a simple Chevy/Chevy exchange.
actually the 460 has become as affordable to build as a big block chevy and the 625 hp, 514 ford offered by Ford racing is the best deal in the crate motor market. i can get a stoker kit to make a 460 over 510 cubes for under $2k.
the newest ford racing 460 heads are the chit and make awsome power. edlebrock makes a good set of heads and several intakes, a junkyard 460 is cheaper and more of them then 454.
guess who bought a 460, f150 about 4 months ago
can you say burn out machine
