missing at highway spds
Hi, I'm new to this forum. I instsalled high flow air intake and magna flow muffler. At about 40-50 mph, if I punch throttle, it falls on its face and misses as it gradually picks up speed. Where do I look first. I have rechecked my installations and had them rechecked by someone else. No codes in system. Idles perfectly.
any ideas?

Disconnect the battery.
Turn on the headlites ( this drains any residual energy storage).
Wait 30 minutes.
Reconnect the battery.
Go for a drive... ecu will relearn with local conditions - takes a while...
Note: this is something to try - not guaranteed or intended to fix a real problem or a hard fault.
You should learn to use the Search function on this site - amazing what kinds of great advice / ideas you'll find!

My impression is that the learn procedure is primarily for idle, but I may be wrong. Let us know if the learn procedure fixes it. If not, we can try other things. If it runs good except under heavy load and mid-high RPMs, it sounds like a fuel filter or secondary issue. Keep us posted.
Before driving it you might want to let it idle for 5 minutes or so to help it learn the idle. I believe my owners manual for my 2002 wants you to let it idle in for a minute or two with all accessories off and then again with the AC on. Also you might have to drive it for a while (20 miles or so) before it learns everything and runs the best.
TRYING IT
O.K. I have the battery disconnected now. I put a new fuel filter on it yesterday. Old one and the fuel in it looked good. I'll keep you advised. I see alot of coil suggestions here. Is that a common problem.
