has anybody used the coil packs that napa sells? 2 different packs one is supposedly a heavy duty just looking for some info on them

 

I bought a couple of coil packs from NAPA last summer for my '02 5.4. I opened the box and they had Motorcraft part #s on them. Be aware that Ford made a "running change" during the 2000 model year. The old (97-00) NAPA part # is IC69 (I think) and the new (00-03) # is IC-369 (just looked at the box). The IC 369 will NOT work on your truck. I did not know that they offer a "heady duty" version.

I was told the 2 model #s they offer for my 99 that one is a heavy duty coil for towing applacations but i will check the part # THANKS FOR THE INFO. Just trying keep the budget low but not buy complete junk had a bad expierence with autozones brand

 

I found Accel coil packs, p/n 140018 I believe, (EDIS, EIDS, whatever, 2 coils on the front of the engine) at Summit for $118.00 including shipping to Waco, TX. Had them on for a week but haven't checked for any mileage gains yet (more than nil would be suprising).
