ok......I cleaned up the IAC wasn't really that dirty, I did notice that it did help a little. Looking for more info on the EGR . I have a rough idle at start-up when cold or when it has been sitting for an hour or so, the rough idle last for about a minute or 2. run's great after that except for when I leave off the gas and when I get back on it the truck really jerks and a couple of times it sounded like it back-fired out of the throtle body. .......thank's

 

do a search for my thread in the Engines forum. Seach for
"Rough Idle" - lots of good pics and info to help you do it yourself. Its not that bad, and theres a good chance this is your problem.

 

I had similar symtpoms a month ago or so..."minus the back fire"..and mine was the fuel filter!
