White crap on oil cap

yes I know the title rhymes but this could be serious!! I was reading another thread about condensation on the cap, so I thought I would check mine. It has some, no big deal, but is it supposed to reek of gas, or should I be trying to figure something else out. The only code I get is p1000 which is uncomplete drive cycle. are they related? HELP

The white crap question comes up several times every winter. The answer is always the same.

Do check for the source of fuel contamination of your oil.

The P1000 code means that the PCM was recently reset and has not sucessfully completed all its drive cycle selftests.

You probably make frequent short trips.

make sure when you cut off the truck, that it is warm. you're experiencing condensation in the oil. you're oil is not getting warm enough to get rid of the moisture.
