Being new to the post, I don't know if this has been addressed. Me and the bank just bought a 2002 F-150 4x4 4.2. I've bought Ford all my life. I have the "sport" version which as far as I can tell consists of four wheel disc brakes, auto trans and who knows what else. Ive already installed a K&N and removed the air baffle from what ive learned on this post. I have a gorillazchip but have'nt installed it. Id like to know my gearing and what ever else i can learn from my vin and other codes. I already learned the color

Alot of the important information you are looking for is on the sticker on the driver's door jamb.
For instance, do a search on "axle code" and you can determine what gear ratio you have. Search on transmission code and find out what tranny you have.
