When I saw that this thread was answered I did not bother to check it out.
Nice to see that your question was well answered.....
Indeed the 99 F-150 had 3 engine options. The 4.2 V6 Which produced 205 Hp and 250 ft-lbs of torque. The Triton 4.6 V8 which produced 220 HP and 290 Ft-lbs and the 5.4 Triton V8 which produced 260 HP and 350 ft-lbs.
If you want to know which engine you have Pop the hood and count the plug wires. If you have six.......
The exception will be the 5.4 as it will not have any plug wires. It uses individual coils for each cylinder. Besides both V8s have a cover on the engine that has the engine size written on it.
