Question High Idle

I recently put a new TPS on my 92' F150 w/5.0 but it did not fix my idle. But since replacing the sensor I have not gotten the check engine light. Anyway, maybe once a week I get a high idle. It doesn't seem to be temp related because I checked the intake temp sensor and it's good. The high idle occurs sometimes after initial start up in the morning. Sometimes after I've driven and then restart while the engine is still hot. And sometimes after I get off work and it's had time to completely cool down. The FORD tech that I talked to on the phone couldn't tell me for sure if the TPS should be loaded before it goes on the throddle body or just installed with the spring open. Any help would be appreciated.

Might want to check the voltage on that TPS.

This specifies for the Lightnings but the principle might work for yours.

The high idle is probly due to a vacume leak might be a hose but many times it will be the upper to lower intake gasket. Check carefully for a vacume leak.
