Intermittent Engine Hessitation

Problem:
Truck runs fine most of the time, but sometimes while moving the engine will stop accelerating and will coast, but the truck will still maintain slow speeds. Pushing the gas pedal does nothing. Eventually the truck will resume accelerating, but sometimes the engine will die. I can shift it into neutral when this problem occurs and rev the engine. I tried shifting into high gear and I was able to drive the rest of the way home without a problem.

Things Tried:
Replaced Throttle Positioning Sensor
Replaced All Oxygen Sensors
Replaced Fuel Pump
Cleaned/Replaced All Filters
Replaced EEC Power Relay

Mechanics Advice:
Believed the problem was electrical. Diagnostic machine revealed nothing. Ruled out posibility of low fuel pressure, and transmission failure.

Any mods?
Do you have a chip? Mine caused misses due to dirty connector.

The hardest thing to diagnose is a sick computer. To bad there isn't a code to tell us the computer is bad

I'd suggest fixing the known problem first, the CEL itself.

Then you might have an indication what else might be wrong.

Took apart the dash and the check engine light was dead. The light came on when the ignition was switched to the on position, but once the truck was started it went out again.
Took it for another drive today, I think the problem might be with the transmission computer, but at the same time if that was it... It seems like the check engine light would stay on...

No, I dont have any mods, all stock.

UPDATE: Drove it today, someone told me to try shifting into high gear manually when the symptoms occured to see if it made a difference. It did, upon shifting from drive to high gear I was able to accelerate again.

Ok, I talked to another mechanic that said it might be the transmission computer. I've been trying to find a transmission computer at a few autoparts stores and cant find it. I think it may be called a Transmission Control Module. I looked on Autozone.com and it said that that part was not available for my vehicle.
