For the past few months, when I start my truck, I hear a squeaking noise coming from under the hood. It's not a "knock" like piston slap though. It almost sounds like something with the belts or pulleys. It's not a squealing belt, the sound is somewhat quiet actually. After the engine gets warm, the sound stops, so it seems like it's a cold start issue. I was just wondering if anyone else had this problem and if they could tell me how to solve it.

Try starting the truck without the belt on, see if the noise is still there.
