Talking 4.6 rough idle & Miss

:santa: Ok Guys, Long time reader, first time post'r. I have a 97 f-15 (bessie). I have owned it about 7 months. All stock, sorry no goodies to list, well new walmart goodyears on the front. But that don't count. I bought the truck, the guy that owned it before me left NEW plug wires, Egr valve (wrong one) Plugs. Well I did install the plugs, hey no biggy about 3 hours. The plugs had a gap of about 85 thousands it was ready. Bessie ran great for about a week, this is my 3rd set in about a month..I can install in about an hour and 20 min... Now then I have read all the posts I could get my hands on. I have a mitchell Cd that helps. I cleaned the MAF (Massive Air Flow.) Removed and cleaned the Egr valve. I had one bank, the Passenger side power pack bank was bad. Replaced it, and the other stuff above, she runs great. Well I do have my fingers crossed. GUYS thank you for all the posts I have read..Y'all gave me some GREAT ideas..... Ps: to my surprise the EGR valve and tube were clean for having 159,000 miles and for spark knock, I have 93 octane, so not sure if it fixed the knock or not..... HAPPY HOLIDAYS GUYS Bradley
*check all parts with meter, that is how I caught the Power pack*

Red face

well guys, it been several hours. No miss, strong throttle flow. I think I got it. I can't tell you how cool it is to have a "support group." I think this site may have saved a couple trucks from a tire tool....Happy Holidays....Bradley
